Anhydrous solution of The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% is a water-free product that helps unclog pores and exfoliate the skin.
Direct acids are well known for their capacity to promote the natural shedding of dead skin, more especially alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs). Salicylic Acid (SA), a lipophilic BHA, is particularly good at targeting oil within the pores that can cause congestion, whereas AHAs encourage superficial exfoliation.
The goal of the Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution is to lessen skin irritation issues by providing salicylic acid in a squalane base.
